Arrival of the group and accommodation in hotel

h. 10.00 guided tour of Pisa with the most visited monuments in the world: Piazza dei Miracoli with its famous Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, the Baptistry and the Monumental Cemetery; the historic Piazza dei Cavalieri, the streets along the Arno river, the lovely tiny Church of Santa Maria della Spina

h. 14.00 drive to Lucca (1/2h drive)
h. 14.30 guided tour of Lucca, one of the most elegant towns in Tuscany, enclosed by its ancient and still intact walls. The guided tour will take you to the Cathedral, masterpiece of Romanesque art, the Giunigi Palace, Piazza San Michele and the charming Market Square
h. 17.00 departure from Lucca
h. 19.30 dinner in hotel and overnight stay

DAY 3

h. 9.00 departure for the wine road tour
h.10.00 arrival in the picturesque village of Bolgheri and visit of the historical center
h. 11.30 departure for Suvereto and visit of the medieval town
h. 13.00 visit of a winery in the Val di Cornia. Light lunch and wine tasting of typical local products
h. 15.00 departure for the coast: possibility of a visit to the Archaeological Mines Park of San Silvestro

h. 10.00 arrival in Florence and guided sightseeing tour

h. 9.30 guided tour of Volterra, the Etruscan town in the heart of Tuscany. Visit of the Etruscan Museum

h 15.30 visit to an alabaster craft shop and free time for shopping
h. 19.30 dinner in hotel and overnight stay

DAY 6

h. 07.00 departure for Piombino where you board a ferry to the Elba Island , the largest island of the Tuscan archipelago. This tour will make you discover the natural attractions and the historic heritage of the isle
h. 13.30 typical lunch, fish menu. Late afternoon transfer back to Volterra
h. 19.30 dinner in hotel and overnight stay

DAY 7

h. 08.00 departure for Siena, considered the only living model of “Medieval town”, thanks to its present aspect, still identical as in the XIV century. Here you will visit Piazza del Campo, where the famous “Palio” takes place, the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), the Torre del Mangia, San Domenico Church and the Cathedral
h. 13.00 lunch break
Afternoon tour into the Chianti region, production area of some of the most famous wines in the world, characterised by a landscape of gentle hills, vineyards, olive-groves, woods, old farmhouses and castles.
Wine tasting of the Chianti in a winegrowing estate.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight.
