Where geothermal energy is even at the base of food

The union of man, environment and land is brought to a whole new level in the geothermal areas of Tuscany, namely the municipalities of Pomarance, Castelnuovo Val di Cecina, Monteverdi Marittimo, Montecatini Val di Cecina and in the neighbour provinces of Siena and Grosseto.
In these areas, a group of producers has joined the forces and abilities of their breeders and farmers with the clean geothermal energy, in order to produce good and sustainable food coming from a short production chain. This way, “Gusto Pulito” (“Clean Flavours”) and “Comunità del cibo e delle energie rinnovabili” (“Community of food and renewable energy”) were born.

The producers who are part of the “Gusto Pulito” group in our area are: Fattoria dell’Antica Filiera (Castelnuovo V.C.), Villa Magra (Santa Luce), Panificio F.lli Martini (Montegemoli, Pomarance), Vapori di Birra (Sasso Pisano), Terre Calde di Toscana (Pomarance).
